This is the second workshop to discuss planning for the future use of the park.

GULFPORT – This city wants to design a project for Veterans Park to enhance the property and incorporate infrastructure to aid in area drainage/water quality.

This reuse project will include public engagement to define the community’s desire for future park changes/enhancements. The project will include concept plan alternatives that are reflective of the community’s ideas and wishes while incorporating storm water management facilities. The project will result in a locally preferred master plan for the park, 5350 31st Ave. S.

A community workshop to discuss planning for such a project is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday (Sept. 12) at the Historic Gulfport Casino, 5500 Shore Blvd. This will be the second such workshop.
