Easter is this Sunday (March 27) and several cities and groups have scheduled egg hunts to celebrate. Here is a list of some of them in Pinellas County.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Here is a list of some of the egg hunts that are scheduled this Easter season. It’s wise to bring a basket or other container for the eggs and we hear you need to get to the hunts on time because the eggs don’t stay hidden long.

Clearwater Beach Recreation Center’s annual egg hunt will take place at 6 p.m. Friday (March 25) at Mandalay Park, 532 Mandalay Ave., on bright and beautiful Clearwater Beach. This exciting event is made possible, and remains free, thanks to donations from the Clearwater Beach Association and the Friends of the Clearwater Beach Library and Recreation Center. Indian Rocks Beach has an egg hunt scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday (March 26) at the Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve, 903 Gulf Blvd. Sponsored by the Indian Rocks Beach Homeowners Association, the event is free and open to children 10 and younger. Redington Beach has a hunt that begins at 9 a.m. in Town Park, the corner of Gulf Boulevard and 164th Avenue. For information about Redington Beach, go to townofredingtonbeach.com.

St. Petersburg has the Jelly Bean Fling sponsored by the Junior League of St. Petersburg. The event includes an Easter egg hunt, pictures with the Easter bunny and more. Tickets are $8 but family packs are available. The Fling is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Vinoy Park, 701 Bay Shore Drive NE. For information, go to jlstpete.org.

Treasure Island‘s free egg hunt is sponsored by the Gulf Beaches Rotary Club and includes an Easter hat and bonnet contest and visit with the Easter bunny. It’s scheduled for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Treasure Island Community Center Park, 1 Park Place & 106th Ave. Ages 10 and younger. For information, call (727) 367-2303.
