Expect Bridge Delays in Indian Shores

Traffic | Road Work | Detours

Starting today (July 27), Pinellas County will be doing maintenance on the Park Boulevard bridge leading into Indian Shores.

INDIAN SHORES – A two-week maintenance project on the Park Boulevard Bridge in Indian Shores is set to begin today (July 27) and drivers should expect delays because traffic will be reduced to one lane during the work.

Contractors for Pinellas County will be replacing seals that protect the bridge’s joints. Staging for the project is scheduled to start today, with heavy trucks and equipment in the area, and lane closures will begin Thursday (July 28). The project is expected to be completed by the week of Aug. 8.

Although a single lane of traffic will remain open over the bridge during the project, motorists can use alternate routes to travel to and from the Gulf beaches, including the Tom Stuart Causeway or the Walsingham Road/5th Avenue Bridge. The work will not impact movable portions of the bridge and will not affect boat navigation.
