The 78-year-old man died Tuesday (May 26, 2015) at a local hospital.
PINELLAS COUNTY – A 78-year-old Clearwater man died from injuries sustained in a north Pinellas traffic crash Tuesday (May 26, 2015).
Florida Highway Patrol officials said that Robert Andrew Tulenko of Clearwater died at Bayfront Hospital.
FHP officials said Mr. Tulenko was riding in a 2015 Kia Soul being driven by Helen Ruth Tulenko, 74, of Clearwater about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. The Kia was headed north in the left turn lane of U.S. 19 N near Boy Scout Road in the Countryside area of north Pinellas County. The Kia turned left onto Boy Scout and, troopers said, failed to yield to a 2007 Chevrolet HHR driven by Tatiana Emilia Gresko, 20, of Tarpon Springs, that was headed south on U.S. 19. The front right of the Chevrolet struck the right side of the Kia. Both Tulenkos were taken to Bayfront where Mr. Tulenko later died from his injuries.
