Pinellas Sheriff Wants Help in Finding Armed Robbery Suspects

Pinellas County sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding two men who robbed a victim in his hotel room in unincorporated Clearwater.

CLEARWATER – Pinellas County sheriff’s detectives are looking for two men who robbed a man in his hotel room.

Deputies say the incident began around 2:15 a.m. Thursday (March 12) when the two tried to enter Room 215 of the Rodeway Inn Hotel, 28596 U.S. 19 N in unincorporated Clearwater. They first tried using a key to enter. When the door wouldn’t open, they kicked it in. Once inside,  the two suspects battered the victim and produced what appeared to be a handgun. The two suspects made threatening statements and demanded money and the victim’s car keys. The suspects then fled the scene in a newer model Chevrolet Equinox.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male in his mid 20s to early 30s, large build with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and black and white tennis shoes.

Suspect#2 is described as light-skinned black male in his mid  20s to early 3’s, large build. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, jean shorts and a black ball cap.

The investigation continues.
