Information is sketchy about a shooting this morning (March 4) in Clearwater.

CLEARWATER – Police say they are continuing an investigation into a shooting this morning that left a woman injured. Clearwater police say that Sylvia Suggs, 55, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa after the 8:30 a.m. shooting at 707 N. Vine Ave. Detectives say they do not believe that any criminal act occurred in the shooting. It remains unclear if Suggs shot herself, or if the incident was accidental or intentional, police say.
