Pinellas Park Postpones Bark in the Park

Bark in the Park | Pet Expo | Pinellas Park

The pet expo, scheduled for today, has been delayed until April 23 because of expected bad weather.

PINELLAS PARK – Bark in the Park, the city’s sixth annual pet expo scheduled for today, has been postponed until April 23. The decision, Pinellas Park officials said, was designed to avoid the heavy rainstorms expected across Tampa Bay today. Officials said they expect to have most, if not all, the 30-plus rescues and vendors at the April 23 event.

The event will include not only pet adoptions and pet-related vendors but also a K-9 demonstration, games, crafters, music and door prizes. Hot dogs and hamburgers will be available for purchase. Bark In The Park Pet Expo is sponsored by the Pinellas Park Police Academy Alumni Association and the Pinellas Park Parks Division. Proceeds from the event will go to the Pinellas Park K-9 Unit, the Police Dog Medical Fund and related items. Admission and parking are free.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 23 at Freedom Lake Park, 9990 46th St. N.
