Pinellas Deputies Accuse Homeless Man of Bank Robbery
The robbery was at the Florida Central Credit Union in Seminole on Thursday (April 14) morning, Pinellas County deputies said.
SEMINOLE – Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies have accused a homeless man of robbing a Seminole credit union then trying to break into a nearby home.
Dylan P. Conroy, 23, was charged with one count each of robbery, attempted burglary to a dwelling, and resisting an officer without violence. Deputies said Conroy admitted to the robbery. The stolen money was recovered, they said.
Deputies said Conroy went into the Florida Central Credit Union at 8202 113th St. N about 8:21 a.m. Thursday (April 14) and handed a teller a note demanding money. The robber was given some money and he fled the bank on foot. It is not clear how much money he was given.
While deputies were searching for the robber, a nearby resident reported that a man was trying to break into his home. The man matched the description of the bank robber. Deputies said they went to the home and arrested Conroy who later admitted committing the robbery.
