Pedestrian Killed in Kenneth City Accident

A homeless man has been charged with DUI manslaughter after a Kenneth City resident was killed in a traffic accident, Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies say.

KENNETH CITY – Pinellas County deputies say they are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened about 7:23 p.m. Friday (Feb. 13).

Deputies say the driver of a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling southbound on 58th Street N near 54th Avenue in Kenneth City when he hit a pedestrian who was crossing 58th. Dead was Mark R. Ehrhardt, 65, of Kenneth City. Deputies say he was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.

The driver was Troy E. Donnelly, 40, who is listed as a transient. Donnelly, who deputies say appeared impaired, was arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter. He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
