Pedestrian Dies in Pasco Crash

The pedestrian was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.

PASCO COUNTY – A Holiday man died late Saturday (Feb. 13) when he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing a street, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Dead at the scene was Michael Thomas Perry, 57, of Holiday. FHP troopers said he was walking west across U.S. 19 at the Bonita Road intersection about 11:17 p.m. when he was hit by a 200 Ford F150 driven by James Ferguson, 59, also of Holiday. Troopers said Mr. Perry was not in the crosswalk and that the pickup truck had a green light and the driver did not see him. Charges are pending.
