Passenger Dies in One-Car Pinellas Crash

The driver lost control of the car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PINELLAS COUNTY – One woman died and another is in the hospital after a single-car crash Thursday (Sept. 22), the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Crystal Robinson, 28, of St. Petersburg, a passenger in the car, died at Bayfront Medical Center of her injuries. Ashlynn Harrington, 28, of Pinellas Park was taken to Bayfront with serious injuries, troopers said.

The crash happened about 11:22 a.m. on the 28th Street N exit ramp from southbound I-275. Troopers said Harrington lost control of the 2007 Pontiac G6 she was driving. The car spun, left the roadway and hit a tree, troopers said.
