The man was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

PASCO COUNTY – A Zephyrhills man died Saturday (July 23) from injuries he received when his SUV left the road.

Aaron Kyle Batts, 23, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was taken after the crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened about 5:29 p.m. on State Road 52 near Rice Road. Troopers said Mr. Batts was driving east on the road when, for an unknown reason, he crossed into the oncoming lane and left the road. Once on the shoulder of the road, he hit a barbed wire fence then a tree.
