ZEPHYRHILLS – A 15-year-old girl from Zephyrhills died Wednesday (June 10) at the scene of a traffic crash and three others who were in the vehicle are in the hospital.

He was approaching the intersection of Piedmont Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle while trying to overtake Rodriguez’s 2006 Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection. The right front of Vandemheen’s Chevrolet struck the left rear of the Silverado then hit several large trees on the east shoulder of the roadway. The FHP says the vehicle spun clockwise, traveled back across the road and collided with a 1994 Ford that was parked on the other side of the road.
