Holiday Woman Killed While Crossing U.S. 19 in Pasco

The Florida Highway Patrol says the woman stepped into the path of an oncoming car.

PASCO COUNTY – A woman from Holiday was killed Thursday (Jan. 7) night when she stepped into the path of an oncoming vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Diane Martin, 40, died at the scene of the crash, FHP officals said.

Troopers said the collision happened around 8:27 p.m. Nicholas John, 25, of New Port Richey was driving a 2009 Nissan Versa north on the inside lane of U.S. 19. Ms. Martin was crossing U.S. 19 westbound just north of Buena Vista Lane and stepped into the path of the Nissan, which hit her. The driver of the Nissan was not injured. No charges have been filed.
