PASCO COUNTY – A Port Richey man died after a traffic crash late Saturday (July 18).

John Holahan, 85, of Port Richey died at Spring Hill Regional Hospital of injuries he received in the crash.

The Florida Highway Patrol described the incident: Mr. Holahan was driving his 2015 Kia Soul east on  County Line Road in the left turn lane at Shady Hills Road about 10:30 p.m. Saturday (July 18). A 2007 Toyota Tundra driven by Joyce Skinner, 63, of Spring Hill, was also approaching the intersection and had the green light. Mr. Holahan failed to yield to Ms. Skinner and turned directly in her path, causing her the cars to collide, FHP troopers said.

Both drivers were taken to Spring Hill Regional Hospital where Mr. Holahan later died. Ms. Skinner’s condition is unclear. Alcohol is not a factor, FHP troopers said. No charges have been filed.
