The cards will show new senate districts and polling places.

PASCO COUNTY – Late this week (May 22-28) voters affected by legislative redistricting will be mailed new voter information cards with current information regarding their reassigned senate district number and any change in their polling location as a result.

“The Pasco Board of County Commissioners gave their approval to the minimal adjustments that were made which affected about 1 percent of Pasco’s registered voters” Pasco elections supervisor Brian Corley said. “For that 1 percent, it is extremely important that they receive this information.”

The new information cards will be mailed to the address that is currently on file with the elections’ office. It is a red, white and blue tri-fold card that could easily be mistaken for a political mailing piece. If you have recently moved into one of the new districts, and have not updated your address information with the elections’ office, you may not receive a new card.

It’s important to note that although the district lines are in effect as of May 10, senators for these new districts will not become effective until after the 2016 general election in November. Until then your senate representation remains as it was before redistricting.
