St. Pete Preservation’s annual blast at the Ale and the Witch will reveal the organization’s outdoors film schedule.

ST. PETERSBURG — All are invited to St. Petersburg Preservation Inc.’s Movies in the Park announcement party, coming as usual to the Ale and the Witch Thursday (April 14) at 6 p.m. Admission is free. The Witch, as this courtyard watering hole often is known, is at 111 Second Ave. NE. (And so, of course, is the Ale!)

St. Pete Preservation will have prizes for the first to guess the correct titles (they give hints). Movie posters and new movie poster note cards will be available for a special movie party price. Art work is by widely recognized local artist Carrie Jadus. Meanwhile, you can grab food at the Witch’s BBQ Den, choose among the usual great selection of American craft beers, and sit back have some late-week fun. A portion of the beer sales will go to St. Pete Preservation.

May Movies in the Park are each Thursday evening during the month of May (5,12,19, 26) downtown at North Straub Park on the waterfront. As a special bonus, Movies in the Park will also return to westside St. Pete, on the waterfront at Admiral Farragut on April 28. At each movie, live music starts at 7 p.m. and the movies start at dusk. Showing up early is encouraged.
