Math Bee Coming Up on Wednesday

The contest takes place Wednesday at the James Weldon Johnson Community Library.  

ST. PETERSBURG — Kids can brush up their math skills,  have some fun at the library and maybe win some prizes this week. Students entering kindergarten through sixth grade are invited to compete in the Sixth Annual Math Bee  at the St. Petersburg James Weldon Johnson Community Library, 1059 18th Ave. S, Wednesday (July 15) at 6:15 p.m.

The free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Johnson Community Library, with support from the St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge 109. The top three finishers in three grade-level groups will be awarded gift cards.

Participants are encouraged to practice their math facts online at www.VMATHLIVE.com .Tutoring sessions are ongoing and two more remain: Monday (July 13)  and Tuesday (July 14) from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Johnson Community Library Community Room.
