Largo to Residents: Can We Talk?

Community Conversation | Largo | Local News

Largo is holding a series of “community conversations” to hear what residents want.

LARGO – The city will be hosting a series of community conversations to help Largo leaders better understand the type of city residents want to live in. The time will be focused on listening to residents. Each 90-minute conversation is a chance to hear the community’s aspirations for Largo and what they believe might shape its future. This is not a typical Town Hall meeting or a focus group, but rather a set of small group (8-12 participants) round table conversations with a city representative facilitator and note taker. There are currently five scheduled open invitation community conversations for residents to participate:

*March 2, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Highland Recreation Center, 400 Highland Ave.

*March 3, 8:30-10:00 a.m. at Southwest Recreation Center, 13120 Vonn Road

*March 3, 1:30-3:00 p.m. at Largo Community Center, 400 Alt. Keene Road

*March 4, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive

*March 7, 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Largo Advanced Wastewater Reclamation Facility, 5000 150th Ave. N

The city will also be inviting a variety of community organizations to participate in conversations. Once the series of discussions is concluded, there will be a follow up with participants to share what was heard and how the input will be used. Results will also be shared with the Largo City Commission at its April 14 work session. Largo residents who would like to participate should call (727) 587-6790 or visit Largo.com/values to reserve a seat at the table.
