Four of five council seats are up for grabs.

KENNETH CITY – The Kenneth City Area Business Alliance is holding a candidates’ forum tonight (Feb. 9) to let voters hear from the folks running in the March 10 election.

The 7 p.m. forum is at the Community Hall, 4600 58th St. N. Candidates for mayor are council member Wanda Dudley and Leonard Zemaitis, husband of current mayor Teresa Zemaitis, who is terming out. Six are running for three available council seats: incumbent Joanne DeSimone, former council member Philip Redisch, and four first-timers, Lawrence Hauft, Ryan Boberg, Linda Marsella, and Carl Troup. The three top vote-getters in the council race will take office. The two top will serve a traditional two-year term. The third highest will serve for one year, the remainder of the term of Ellen Dalbo, who resigned from the council last year.
