Temple Terrace Chamber Plans Parade, Fireworks for Fourth

The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. The evening’s fun starts at 6 p.m. with fireworks beginning about 9:15 p.m.

TEMPLE TERRACE – The theme of the  41st annual Fourth of July parade and fireworks is “Temple Terrace USA: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.”

Hosted by the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, this year’s Temple Terrace Independence Day Parade will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Free parking is available in the downtown redevelopment area (corner of Bullard Parkway and 56th Street) and on residential streets except where “No Parking” signs are posted.

The parade will start at the corner of Whiteway Drive and Gillette Avenue. The parade will head south on Gillette, west on Druid Hills, then south on Ridgedale Road to the Ridgedale Sports Complex near Temple Terrace Elementary School.

Fourth of July fireworks and evening festivities will start at 6 p.m. on the first fairway of the Temple Terrace golf course, between Belle Terre and Woodmont avenues.

There will be a variety of food vendors, live music and other entertainment. Fireworks will light up the sky at 9:15 p.m. and can be viewed from the first fairway of the golf course. Lawn chairs and blankets are okay, but please do not bring personal fireworks of any kind to the golf course.
