Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hillsborough Crash

The motorcycle collided with a semi tractor-trailer, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A Tampa motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday (Aug. 19) when he collided with a semi tractor-trailer, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jordan Eastman Naugle, 26, of Tampa, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet, the FHP said.

The crash happened about 8:40 a.m., troopers said. Armando Pereira, 38, of Cape Coral, was driving a semi tractor-trailer east on Hillsborough Avenue, Pereira tried to turn north onto 50th Street N and entered the path of the 2007 Honda motorcycle Naugle was driving. Troopers said the Honda collided with the trailer being towed by Pereira.

Charges are pending, the FHP said.
