The park is scheduled to open Monday (Sept. 19).

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – The Northwest County Dog Park is Hillsborough’s sixth dog park but the first with agility training equipment, including crawl tubes, large and small hoop jumps, and an adjustable bar for dogs to jump over.

The park also offers 1.5 acres of fenced areas and pathways with shade shelters, doggie drinking fountains, washing area, leash poles, and pet waste stations. It will also be the county’s first dog park with artificial turf – about 4,600 square feet – and includes restrooms and an additional half acre for parking.

The grand opening of the park, 8951 W Waters Ave., is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday (Sept. 19).
