The man’s car caught fire after overturning.

HILLSBROUGH COUNTY – A man died today (July 3) from injuries sustained when he lost control of his car after exiting I-75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man’s name is being withheld until after relatives are notified of his death.

The FHP says it happened about 6:57 a.m. today (July 3). The man was driving his Chrysler automobile northbound on I-75. He exited the interstate at the Brandon ramp. Once on the ramp to State Road 618, the man lost control of his car, which left the road and went onto the left shoulder where it hit the overpass, overturned and caught fire. The man died at the scene of his injuries.
