Two Make Final Cut for Largo City Manager Position

Largo | Largo City Hall | City Hall

Henry Schubert, Largo’s assistant city manager, and Russ Blackburn, former Gainesville city manager, will be interviewed in person later this month.

LARGO – City commissioners have settled on two candidates as the likely replacement for Largo City Manager Mac Craig, who will retire in March.

The two are Henry Schubert, one of Largo’s assistant city managers, and Russ Blackburn, a former Gainesville city manager. The two were winnowed out of an initial field of 136 applicants. That long list was reduced to eight candidates who were interviewed by telephone on Friday (Feb. 12).
