Family Member Reports Meth Lab, Hernando Sheriff Says

The lab was safely neutralized, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.

BROOKSVILLE – Hernando sheriff’s deputies have accused a Brooksville man of running a meth lab.

Aaron Buckner, 36, of Brooksville, was arrested Thursday (April 20) and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a structure for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said they were alerted to the possibility of a meth lab on April 15 after a family member living at the home found suspicious items on the property. Upon arrival, deputies said they saw items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Deputies certified in methamphetamine lab investigations and in dismantling of the lab and members of the Hernando County Fire Rescue Haz-Mat team responded and safely neutralized the lab. Deputies said they were able to collect the various items without incident.
