Driver Dies after Pasco Crash

The Hudson woman lost control of her car, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY – A Hudson woman died of injuries she received after an traffic crash caused when she lost control of her car, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Patricia Marie Blacer, 47, of Hudson died at Bayonet Point Hospital where she was taken after the crash.

The accident happened about 10:16 a.m. Tuesday (May 31) on U.S. 19 south of Country Club Drive. The FHP said Ms. Blacer was traveling south on U.S. 19 when she lost control of her 2005 Pontiac. which spun and crossed the median into oncoming traffic. William Paul Barror, 57, of Spring Hill, who was driving a 2010 Toyota Highlander, and Louis Robert Rappa, 80, of Hudson, who was driving a 2003 Dodge van, were unable to avoid her and hit the Pontiac. It’s unclear, troopers said, why Ms. Blacer lost control of her car. Barror and Rappa were taken to Bayonet Point with minor injuries.
