The city is also looking for sponsors for this year’s event.

CLEARWATER – Volunteers and sponsors are needed to continue the success of Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater.

Now in its 24th year with about 450 Clearwater homes painted, Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater helps disadvantaged homeowners and the elderly by having volunteers paint the exteriors of the Clearwater homes that have been selected for the event. About 20 Clearwater homes will be painted for this year’s event on March 19. Painting begins at 8 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 2 p.m.

Organizers are looking for teams of 15 to 20 volunteers who can help paint the homes. Organizers are also looking for volunteer teams of five to 10 people who will be assigned to paint teams that need more volunteers. Volunteer painters must be at least 16 years old to take part.

Volunteers enjoy the rewarding experience and making a difference in the life of the homeowner and the community. Volunteers also enjoy meeting and connecting with fellow volunteers who share the ideal of service to others.

Once the event is complete, a celebration for the volunteers will be held at Clearwater’s downtown Coachman Park with food, drinks, prizes and music. Sponsors are also needed to help fund the program and help it continue serving the people in Clearwater.

Paint Your Heart Out, Clearwater is a community partnership comprised of the city of Clearwater, local businesses, community groups and concerned citizens.
