Car Rear Ends Hernando School Bus

The car’s driver received minor injuries. Neither the bus driver nor her passenger was injured.

HERNANDO COUNTY – A Clermont man rear ended a stopped Hernando school bus Friday (May 27) afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Amin B. Nathan, 46, of Clermont, was taken to Brooksville Bayside Hospital with minor injuries. Troopers said he was cited for careless driving.

Neither the bus driver, Geanine R. Comaianni, 43, of Spring Hill, nor her passenger, Orien Adams, 16, of Brooksville was injured.

The accident happened about 4:49 p.m. Friday (May 27) on State Road 50 east of Mitchell Road. Troopers said the bus was stopped at a railroad crossing. Nathani was in the lane behind the bus and failed to stop for the bus, causing him to rear end the bus, the FHP said.
