Every cyclist will have a chance to win a free bike at the Bike Safety Rodeo on Saturday (March 12).

OLDSMAR – Bicycle helmets will be fitted/provided. Riders will have a chance to learn proper bike safety. And all riders will have a chance to win a free bike at the Holiday Sharing Fund’s Bike Safety Rodeo.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to noon at 101 State St. in Oldsmar. That’s the council/chamber parking lot next to the historic bank building.

The Holiday Sharing Fund’s mission is to enhance the quality of Christmas for underprivileged children by providing bikes and other support.

The Holiday Sharing Program’s mission is achieved partly by funds raised by the annual Oldsmar-Safety Harbor Mayor’s Breakfast led by the Oldsmar/Eastlake Rotary Club and the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. The Holiday Sharing Fund evolved when the Oldsmar Community Policing Deputies received support from local businesses to purchase bicycles needed for Christmas gifts to local needy children. With the partnership of Full Throttle magazine and the Chamber of Commercem the Holiday Sharing Fund was born.
