The grand opening is today (March 25) for Annie Tyrell’s shop.

ST. PETERSBURG — Annie Tyrell is relocating her business, Annie’s Beauty Supply, to the Deuces Live Mainstreet District at 920 22nd Street S. She will be featuring a grand opening celebration all day long today (March 25) 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with live music, complimentary food and product samples (while they last). A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m., featuring a short program and photo opportunity with city officials, community and business leaders. It’s all free and the public is invited to stop by for the 11:30 program or throughout the day.

“Prior to our move to the Deuces, we were like an island standing all alone; now, we feel like a part of a welcoming family and the feeling is wonderful!” Tyrell said. “We feel truly blessed to be a part of the Deuces family. We feel truly welcomed and wanted in the Deuces Community. Our goal is to be able to stock the shelves with what the community wants and to be the community beauty supply store of choice.

“I personally am truly grateful to Carla Bristol, owner of Gallerie 909, for informing me about the space for lease, for being supportive from day one, for her marketing support and expertise. I thank the city of St. Petersburg, Nikki Capehart, Deuces Live, Veatrice Farrell, the Greenhouse and Jessica Eilerman for all of (their) support, for helping to make our relocation smooth, and (their) desire for the success of Annie’s Beauty Supply on the Deuces,” Tyrell said.

Said Deuces Live Main Street Board President Chuck Egerter: “The Deuces Live Main Street is very excited about the momentum that’s building in the community and especially along the 22nd Street corridor. Annie is another great addition who chose to come here because she wants to be part of the revival. We will continue to add businesses, and are planning our first signature event: Soul on the Deuces,” .

The St. Petersburg Greenhouse, a collaboration between the city of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, provided business assistance to Tyrell.  “We are thrilled to help our local businesses grow and prosper. We congratulate Annie on her new location and are looking forward to celebrating this momentous day for her and the Deuces Live District,” said Jessica Eilerman, the Mayor’s Small Business Liaison for the city of St. Petersburg.
