12-Hour, Non-Stop Drum Circle Designed to Raise Awareness of School Bullying

Saturday’s (Jan. 30) event is sponsored by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The Sheriff’s Office is hosting a 12-hour drumming event designed to raise awareness about the problem of bullying; and to beat bullying out of Pinellas County Schools. The “Beat the Bullies” drumming event will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 30) in the multi-purpose room at Osceola Middle School, 9301 98th St. N, Seminole.

Pinellas County School Resource Deputy Ural Darling, along with other law enforcement members, students, teachers and community leaders will beat the drums against bullying for 12-straight hours. The purpose of the “Beat the Bullies” event is to raise awareness of the problem of bullying in schools and encourage intervention and prevention before matters escalate.

The public is invited to come out to support the event and say “NO” to bullying.
