Seminole | City Hall | Government

This is the fourth year Seminole is offering the academy.

SEMINOLE – Registration is open for the fourth annual Seminole Citizens Academy.

The free academy, open to residents of the city and the Seminole Fire District, is a fun and easy way to find out the inner workings of city hall. Participants in the seven-week program will meet city officials, tour city facilities and hear how Seminole runs.

The classes are held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each Wednesday from March 29 through May 10. Each class will meet in a different location with a different topic, ranging from the fire department to the library to the financial aspects of running a city. Light refreshments will be served.

For information, call Seminole fire Chief Heather Burford at (727) 393-8711, ext. 217.
