The closure will allow Pinellas County to replace a pedestrian bridge.

DUNEDIN – Pinellas County crews have closed the Alt. 19/Orange Street pedestrian bridge between Curlew and Tampa roads.

The Public Works department is moving forward with a construction project to replace the bridge. The trail segment will be inaccessible to cyclists, runners and pedestrians. Trail users in the area are advised to seek alternative routes, using bike lanes, sidewalks and crosswalks along Alt. 19 to remain safe from traffic.

The bidding process is currently underway, and it may take several months for the project to be completed.
