The shut down will allow maintenance work on the system.

PINELLAS COUNTY – The county’s utilities department plans a full shutdown of the north Pinellas reclaimed water system from Monday (Feb. 6) through Feb. 10 for the installation of a new automated control valve at Bee Pond Road in Palm Harbor.

The project requires that the main 36-inch supply line for the North County system be completely shut off to accomplish the installation. The north county system is scheduled to be back in full operation on Feb. 11.

The installation project will improve service delivery to reclaimed water customers, while providing automated functionality of the system to streamline workflow.

The north county reclaimed water system is routinely shut down from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays for storage level recovery.
