Pasco Lifts Burn Ban

Brush Fire | Wildfire | Fire

The ban was put into place after wildfires this spring.

PASCO COUNTY – The Pasco County Commission has lifted the burn ban that went into effect in the wake of April’s wildfires.

Residents may immediately resume open burning, campfires, yard waste burning and fireworks, but are encouraged to follow safe burning practices to prevent wildfires.

Pasco parks, recreation and natural resources is also rescinding its countywide burn ban; however, parks staff reserves the right to reinstate a no-open flame policy (campfires) on a day-to-day basis depending on the fire danger index. The county’s parks staff will inform campers of the open burning status during the reservation process.
