Largo Commission to Meet Tuesday; City Government to Remain Closed

Largo government offices will be closed Monday for Labor Day and Tuesday, as previously announced, because of Hurricane Dorian. The city commission will meet Tuesday evening.

LARGO – Officials said late Saturday (Aug. 31) that the city of Largo continues to closely monitor Hurricane Dorian.

Forecasts are trending well, but officials say the community should remain vigilant as storm paths can change quickly. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on the weather. The City of Largo will post specific storm updates and facility closures to Largo.com/Storm and social media sites when possible.

Largo Facility Closures and Service Disruptions:

Largo facilities including City Hall, Recreation facilities and the Largo Public Library will be closed Monday (Sept. 2) for Labor Day and will remain closed Tuesday (Sept. 3) as noticed.
The Largo City Commission meeting will take place as scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday for items including the budget and tax rate hearing.
There will be no solid waste, recycling or bulk collection on Monday. Regular Tuesday service will take place Wednesday (Sept. 4). Thursday and Friday service will remain as scheduled.
