ST. PETERSBURG – The city of St. Petersburg is launching the next phase of the 2019 cycle of the South St. Pete Community Redevelopment Area Grant Program with housing-based opportunities for residents.

This year’s housing-based opportunities include two programs that are only available in the CRA: The Affordable Single-Family Homeownership Program and the Affordable Single-Family Facade Improvement Grant Program

Additionally, CRA residents are encouraged to take advantage of citywide programs offered by the Housing and Community Development Department: Purchase Assistance Loans, Home Repair Loans, and Barrier Free Loans and Grants

The housing-based opportunities are one of three components that make up the CRA program, which includes people-based and place-based opportunities.

Each grant has its own application requirements. For more information, got to stpete.org.

The city has begun accepting applications for the housing-based opportunities. Click here to fill out the online interest form and a member of the CRA team will contact you with next steps. Applications are
accepted on a rolling, first-come, first-reviewed basis throughout the year.

The CRA Grant Program was created in 2015 as part of the city’s 30-year revitalization plan designed to help boost private investment in commercial and multifamily residential development in South St. Pete. The CRA is generally located between Fourth Street and 49th Street between Second Avenue N and 30th Avenue S.
