Online registration is the most efficient way to apply for assistance from FEMA, which can be done at DisasterAssistance.gov or through the FEMA mobile app to avoid long wait times on the phone. The app is available for download through the Apple App Store or Google Play by searching for FEMA.

Residents may also register by calling 1-800-621-FEMA. It is best to call early or late to avoid long wait times. Those residents who use TTY can call 1-800-462-7585. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. EDT seven days a week. Residents may also be referred to the Small Business Administration to review their disaster-related losses.
