If live in south Pinellas and you’re interested in trying solar power but don’t know where to start, here’s an information session for you.

PINELLAS COUNTY – A public information sessions this week is directed at south Pinellas folks who have thought about harnessing the power of the sun for their homes but don’t know where to start.

The session is open to those who live south of State Road 60.

Neighbors across the area have formed the St. Pete Summer Solar Co-op with the help of Solar United Neighbors of Florida to make it easier to save money on the purchase of solar panels, while building a community of local solar supporters.

The session will explain how the St. Pete Summer Solar Co-op simplifies the process of going solar while providing a discount through its bulk purchasing power.

The session is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (June 27) at Allendale United Methodist Church, 3803 Haines Road, St. Petersburg.
