ST. PETERSBURG – Residents have one week left to participate in a survey that will help St. Petersburg develop an action plan for a safe, sustainable city.

The St. Pete Integrated Sustainability Action Plan Resident and Business Survey, available through Wednesdaay (Jan. 31) at goo.gl/ja7mLv, seeks information on the city’s current state of sustainability and related quality of life components, along with identifying areas of future opportunity and improvement. When completed, the data will be used by city departments to provide, or continue providing, renewable services to citizens and businesses.

Survey questions ask respondents to identify where they live, work and play in St. Petersburg as well as address quality of life factors, including safe, affordable neighborhoods, clean streets and waterways, accessibility to parks and green spaces, better jobs, arts, culture, and recreational opportunities. Respondents may also share opinions on what makes St. Pete great, as well as ways the city can improve.

The survey is one part of a multi-faceted sustainability data collection campaign that began last September to develop a sustainability action plan. Residents are encouraged to participate in other awareness opportunities, such as stakeholder groups, “green ribbon” executive committees, public workshops, open houses and community forums.
