USF St. Pete Graduates 504

The graduates include five who maintained 4.0 GPAs.

ST. PETERSBURG – Five King O’Neal scholars and the Spring 2015 Outstanding Graduate award recipient were among the 504 graduates recognized during the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Spring Commencement ceremony May 3.

The King O’Neal scholars are recognized for having maintained a GPA of 4.0 or higher. They are: Carlos Agatep, bachelor of science in marketing; Lena-Alyeska Huebner, bachelor of arts in psychology; Zachary McNiece, bachelor of arts in psychology; Jennifer Nesslar, bachelor of arts in journalism and media studies; and Jessica Woods, bachelor of science in education.The King O’Neal scholarships are named for Lucas King and Evelyn O’Neal, charter graduates of the University of South Florida in 1960.

Nesslar, a graduate of the USFSP Honors Program, also has been selected as this semester’s Outstanding Graduate award recipient. During her time at USFSP, she was involved with the campus student newspaper, the Crow’s Nest, as assistant news editor and most recently as editor-in-chief. She plans to pursue a career in journalism at a newspaper or online publication. For information, see usfsp.edu.
