Students at Carwise Middle School in Palm Harbor chipped in to buy the badge.

PALM HARBOR – The Carwise Middle School SWAT (Stop, Walk Away and Tell) Team helped to make Kudzu, the new Pinellas County Schools Police K-9 officer, official. The SWAT TEAM members helped to purchase Kudzu an authentic police badge. The students presented Kudzu and his handler, Officer Barbara Baugher, with the badge at one of their year-end meetings. The SWAT Team consists of about 20 students and they work to create solidarity at the school by focusing on anti-bullying tactics and drug and alcohol abuse awareness.
