Pinellas PTA Hosts State Lawmakers
The events, which are free and open to the public, gives residents a chance to talk to Pinellas lawmakers about education issues.
PINELLAS COUNTY – Do you know who your legislators are?
The Pinellas County Council of Parent Teachers’ Association is hosting a Meet Your Legislator series. The free events are open to the public and offer residents a chance to meet their state legislators in person and exchange ideas about public education.
The events will be held at schools across the Pinellas district. It is also an opportunity for residents to gain insight from legislators about the upcoming state legislative session.
As part of the PCCPTA Meet Your Legislator series, elected representatives will speak to residents on these dates:
• Thursday (Oct. 5) ~ Sen. Jeff Brandes and Rep. Chris Latvala, 6:30 p.m., Largo High School, 410 Missouri Ave., Largo
• Oct. 19 ~ Sen. Jeff Brandes, 6 p.m., North Shore Elementary School, 200 35th Ave. NE, St. Petersburg
• Nov. 28 ~ Rep. Ben Diamond, 6 p.m., Shore Acres Elementary School, 1800 62nd Ave. NE, St. Petersburg
