The scholarship was a prize in a statewide art contest.

SEMINOLE – Hannah Jurgens, a senior at Osceola Fundamental High School has been awarded an Award of Merit and received a $1,000 scholarship from the Florida State Fair for her art portfolio.

The Florida State Fair Prize Patrol came to Osceola Fundamental High School to surprise Hannah with the award. Hannah’s parents, Osceola principal Michael Bohnet, art teacher Ted Locascio and Florida State Fair and Florida Lottery staff were there to celebrate the scholarship presentation. The Florida Lottery is a sponsor of the State Fair Art Portfolio Contest for high school seniors.
