Clearwater Fundamental Middle Teams Win Math Competition

They will go to the Florida state championship.

CLEARWATER – Students from Clearwater Fundamental won first place team and ciphering awards at the Pinellas Chapter MATHCOUNTS competition.

Teams will be advancing to the Florida State MATHCOUNTS Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach in March.

This year, half of the students in the top 10 were Clearwater Fundamental students.

The MATHCOUNTS Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides engaging math programs to middle school students of all ability levels to build confidence and improve attitudes towards math and problem solving.
