The arrest happened on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

TAMPA – Police here have arrested a woman who, they said, was driving the wrong way on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

Theresa A. Hanchett, 32, is charged with one count each of driving under the influence and possession of cocaine, according to Hillsborough jail records.

About 1:50 a.m. today (May 29), police said, Officer R. Sudler was traveling west on the Courtney Campbell Causeway near Ben T. Davis Beach when he saw a 2003 Isuzu SUV traveling west in the eastbound lanes.

Sudler and Officer C. Moyer stopped the SUV and detected cues of impairment when they talked with Hanchett, who was driving. A DUI investigator was called to the scene and Hanchett was subsequently arrested, officers said.
