A man stabbed a woman during a robbery and stabbed two good Samaritans attempting to help her, Pinellas sheriff’s deputies said. A third good Samaritan held him at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

SEMINOLE – Three people – a woman and two men who tried to help her – were stabbed during a robbery Sunday (Aug 6) at a Publix grocery store in Seminole, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.

Rosanna Lynd, 44, was stabbed in the abdomen and left thigh. Christopher McMann, 44, was stabbed in the upper back. Travis L Jones, 31, was stabbed in the abdomen. All are from Seminole and all were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with non-life-threatening injuries.

Bobby Martin Watson, 49, of St. Petersburg, was charged with one count of armed robbery and three counts of aggravated battery with deadly weapon/great bodily harm. He was taken to the Pinellas County Jail after he was medically cleared.

The incident happened about 12:40 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 6) at the Publix, 7880 113th St.  Deputies said Lynd was sitting in her 2010 Toyota Highlander in the Publix parking lot when Watson
opened the door, reached over her and grabbed her purse. Lynd struggled with Watson who stabbed Lynn one time in the abdomen and one time in the left thigh.

McMann saw the struggle and came to Lynn’s aid. Watson stabbed him in the upper back, deputies said.

Watson fled toward the Seminole City Shopping Center with McMann and Jones pursuing Watson across 113th Street. Rush, who saw the altercation, retrieved a hand gun from his vehicle and joined the foot pursuit of Watson.

Deputies said McMann and Jones were able to tackle Watson in the parking lot of the Seminole City Shopping Center, During the struggle, Watson stabbed Jones in the abdomen. Rush disarmed Watson by holding him at gun point until deputies arrived and took Watson into custody.

Deputies say an unknown make, possibly 1990’s model gold, vehicle is believed to be involved.
