Wife Set Fire to Her Home, Pasco Deputies Say

Brandi Currigan | Pasco Sheriff | Arrests

She and her husband were separating, the Pasco sheriff’s office said.

LUTZ – A Lutz woman was arrested Saturday (Aug. 25) after a fire at her home, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said.

Brandi Currigan, 40, of Lutz, was charged with arson and possession of narcotics.

About 7:50 a.m., firefighters and deputies were called to a structure fire in the 23500 block of Turtle Lakes Road. The house was fully engulfed with flames upon arrival.

Currigan was at the house. Deputies said she had been moving items out of the home since she and her husband (also a resident, not on scene, in Iraq working for a private security company) were separating.

During the investigation, deputies said, they determined that Currigan had destroyed the interior and exterior of the house by hand painting graffiti on the walls and dumping paint throughout the house. She had set fire to the house at three separate origin sites inside the home.

Deputies arrested her at the scene. Deputies said she possessed methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
