SEFFNER – Two teens have been arrested in connection with a robbery at a Seffner convenience store, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

A 16-year-old teen was charged with one count each of Grand Theft Third Degree, Robbery While Wearing A Mask, Criminal Mischief, and Attempted Burglary of an Occupied Structure. The other teen, 15, was charged with one count each of Attempted Burglary of an Occupied Structure, Criminal Mischief, Fleeing to Elude High Speed, Robbery While Wearing A Mask, and No Valid Drivers License. Tampa Bay Reporter is not naming the teens because of their ages.

Deputies said that, just after 2:30 a.m. Wednesday (April 17), they were called to Seffner for a call of a robbery in progress at a Circle K. Two boys wearing dark clothing, masks and gloves entered through the front door of the business, brandished a firearm, and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and e-cigarette cartridges.

Patrol units arrived and spotted the two fleeing in a white car. The car crashed into a produce stand on Wheeler Road, east of Parsons.

Deputies said the two teens fled on foot after the crash. Aviation and a K9 team tracked them and found them hiding near a shed.
